PTA relies on the work of many volunteers! Working with one or more committee is a great way to invest in Indian Trail students and get to know other families at Indian Trail. Most of these jobs can be completed outside the school day.
Dine & Share: Monthly Dine & Share events serve as joint fundraisers and community building programs open to all students and their families; volunteers coordinate with local restaurants and publicize events to school community.
Family Bingo: Family Bingo is a social night for Indian Trail families held at the school. Volunteers help plan and run the event, which is held in March.
Fundraising: Volunteers organize the fundraising events throughout the school year to raise money to support PTA activities, events, and initaitives for the school.
Game Night: Game Night is the spring event fundraiser, attended by parents, teachers and staff, and their guests. Volunteers are needed to publicize the event, coordinate set-up and the evening’s activities, and organize raffle/auction items.
International Fair: Volunteers coordinate a family International Fair at school. Families have the opportunity to showcase aspects of their cultures at this event. This event will be held in January.
Reflections: Volunteers coordinate Indian Trail’s involvement in the National PTA Reflections Program, which encourages creativity in the fields of Literature, Visual Arts, Music, and Photography. The program is run by the District PTA. The Chair will push out communications to IT families and organize and judge Indian Trail student projects for each category.
Room Parents: Volunteers communicate with families in each class to promote events, ways to engage in PTA events and activities, coordinate room party volunteers, and serve as a liaison to the teacher.
Staff Appreciation: Volunteers arrange special ways to honor teachers & staff during National Teacher Appreciation Week in May and provide meals/treats to staff at various times throughout the year.
Yearbook: Volunteers take and collect pictures throughout the year and compile a yearbook available for purchase by Indian Trail students.
